I hope it's fine for me to post the new thread. Continuation of thread/1160.
Well, someone asked about this scale figure www.amiami.com/... which is based on this garage kit ITEM #894611.
AniGift, the manufacturer of the PVC figure, is a Chinese company, whilst the character is an original one by a Japanese artist.
Now, would that be allowed on MFC or not?
Oh, and can these be added to MFC? www.amiami.com/...
EDIT:
Oh right, it would be nice if someone could sticky this thread and thread/17399 ! :)

(Sorry @ Moribundead idk the answer)
I have a basic question, what exactly does it mean when a figure's price is listed as prize? I tried googling and read a little bit that , it sorta meant it's a lower quality figure??...

Prize figures, as definited by MFC's FAQ:
QuotePrize - available through contest, lottery or UFO catcher.
Example
Ichiban Kuji, Konami Prize Collection etc.
They are figures that are originally intended to be released through limited means as prizes basically. Nowadays, you can usually find many available for preorder due to popularity.

To expand the answer a little bit for you. Both by price, design and quality "prize" figures are usually less worth then regular scale figures.
The thing is, i've read it somewhere, since bootlegs upped their quality so did the companies with prize figures- BY ALOT. Prize figure that was made 15,10 years ago, compared to these now- its way better now.
I love this figure i have for example ITEM #485166. Nothing special, but a good display piece that represents the character just fine.
So if you find a nice newer prize figure you like- go for it. Not everything needs to cost a kidney to be a good piece ^^

@noctisity oh thank you, mangager is definitely not where I thought it would be.
@ThunderSnow707 ty for your answer :D, I was definitely confused at people calling them 'lower quality' when they looked pretty good to me. They just didn't have as many parts or fine details as a scale figure of similar size.

I got yet another question. When I send someone a PM through an ad, do they get notified I sent that message? I see people commenting on profiles that they sent a message to the person.
Is it like..their inbox is full, they wont get notified until they delete some messages, and then they'll see it?

How can I add images in my about me section? The format is kind of confusing to me, and when I click on the image box in the upper right corner, it doesn't seem to do anything.

They'll get notified that you've PM'd them. Some ppl comment just to make sure they got the PM (I guess? I've never rlly understood it but a lot of ppl do this). If someone's inbox is full you wouldn't be able to PM them at all.

You can use the [img] [/img] tags, just put the url of your image in between the tags & don't leave any spaces :^) If the image you're trying to use is saved to your computer/phone, you can upload it at a free hosting site like imgbb. Don't use imgur though, as pics posted there won't show up on MFC.

Yes, they receive notifications when you send a PM. A lot of people depend on email notifications rather than manually logging into the site and checking their notifications tab, so commenting is just a way to bring attention to the fact a PM was sent in case the person doesn't realize right away. (Also the notification system here, including emails, tend to bug out once in awhile, so...)
If someone's inbox is full, MFC will tell you and you will not be able to PM them.

If you upload images directly to MFC, you can click on the image box to directly insert the image you want into your text. (Just make sure to label your images if you do so and mention they are for profile customization.)
But if you would like to insert images uploaded somewhere else (e.g. Tumblr, Flickr, etc. -- Imgur doesn't work here so avoid that), you will need to use the code [img]URL[/img] where "URL" will be the image's url. I'll use my avatar image as an example: View spoilerHide spoiler

Ok I have subscribed to some characters but not the media section. However Im still seeing their newly added media items popping up in my subscription section. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Do NOT participate in any GO this user hosts so this user does not host any GO.

What's a clear file? I see a lot of prints being sold/on the db with the label clear file. Is it like a letter size (8.5inx11in) print that's laminated?...

They're plastic file folders with artwork printed on them. You can use them to store paper, notes, etc. Example of a regular one: View spoilerHide spoiler
Most are A4 in size. A5 size are often sold in box sets though.

Is this eligible for the site? I don’t see anything about copyright clearance.
On one hand, it seems way too much work and detail for a fake site, on the other- it is completely clustered and kinda weird to follow - unless you know Japanese well, risking with some of those more obscure sites isnt the best choice imo.
Cant confirm it or debunk it..just saying it smells risky.

Booth is a legit site. You'll mostly find doujin/fan goods here. I've bought from Booth a few times as some of the artists/circles I like sell goods there. This actor radio show I follow also sold audio files for their programs so I've bought the ones that feature some of my favorite actors.

I just bought my first figure from a user on MFC and the whole transaction went well and the figure came in great, so my question is about review etiquette on MFC.
1)I left a review on the ad's page for the user, and it shows up under their ads, but is there anywhere else I should leave a review for the seller? Like is there a club that is extremely common/popular where people go to see reviews on sellers?
2)Is there somewhere/a club for sellers to leave reviews on buyers? And is that common practice or expected on MFC?
Another separate question: 3) How are pictures of the day/week/month chosen?
