Site Changes

Similar to the FAQ Update thread, technical site changes will be documented here (in addition to possible separate announcements). Other recent changes will be added to the OP retroactively.

-Addition of further countries to the release field (Indonesia, UAE, Global)
-Global is to be used in cases in which an item is listed in a currency different from the country the manufacturer resides in or if the manufacturer/distributor will ship items from warehouses in different countries depending on the location of the client

Changes to the entry submission form
Various changes such as minor layout adjustments as well as:
-Preview of all different thumbnails used on the site
-Addition of a new field, called "Sources"

The "Sources"-field can be used to enter URLs and should be favored over using "Further information". Sources will be displayed in the bottom right of the entry page along with the copyrights. While the use of sources is not strictly required for all entries, users are encouraged to always add at least one source for information verification purposes and to make the entries more reliable on account of having proof of the information posted on MFC.

Default selection has been disabled (previous default category was "Figures"). Users will now have to manually select the correct category their pictures are to be uploaded in.

Item addition form - release field
The release field has been adjusted to allow the addition of releases in non-Japanese countries. At present, this is to be used only for figures/items whose primary/original release was outside of Japan. In the same vein, the currency used will match that of the corresponding country (although old currencies currently aren't being supported, see EUR-countries). This feature is still being tested.
