RKasa13 years agoThis club is dedicated to physical ("brick and mortar") stores for figures, goods, and related items. The goal of this club is to provide handy guides and reviews for visitors (and locals!) of cities and towns worldwide. For online/mail-order shops, please visit Figure Shop and Site Review.
To keep information as organized as possible, each individual city/region should have its own thread in the discussion forum, titled with the country first (state/province is optional). For example, a thread about Toronto would be titled, "Canada - Toronto" and one about LA would be "United States - Los Angeles". NEW: Chain store information/reviews can be added to the sticky thread titled "International - Chain Stores".
How each OP organizes their thread is up to them, but I would like to suggest that they keep listings of stores in their area in the first post.
Also, check out the blog posts linked below! They're filled with recommendations for anime shopping in NYC, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and other places.
If you're looking for even more recommendations, try searching Yelp. Their reviews can be hit or miss, though.

Have you tried searching for comic book stores and general collectable toy stores as well? Sorry I couldn't be of more help...no its great anything helps, unfortunately only know of two comic book stores and neither are near me, and don't want to have to go to Philly whenever i want to go to an anime store
It's been over 15 years since I last lived in the area, so I don't know what's around anymore, and most of what I knew is in Center City Philly anyway :/ There used to be a shop called Anime Bento in Springfield, but they closed years ago; it's possible the owners may have relocated somewhere (before Anime Bento, the owners ran the [somewhat overpriced] Quakerhead Collectables in Philly).

I'll be going to Florida this year and while I'm doubting finding anything since it's the retirement state, I'll be on the lookout and definitely will post the results. That'll be in the summer of course, so a few months time.
