Hello everyone, this is my first blog post on this site, though I have been here a few years. I hope you enjoy reading.

A while ago I purchased ITEM #397172. I loved her design, and I was extremely disappointed to find the final product had been changed from the prototype. Because they repositioned her legs, she now had an unfortunate tendency to lean. She did not fix to her base either, and simply slipped off when picked up by her body. Mine also had some unfortunate damage, her top had a chip in it.

After close inspection, I figured the main problem was that her peg holes for her right leg were too deep. So I decided to make her a new base.
I purchased a mirror base online, about 12cm in diameter. The previous base I found might be risky for her to potentially fall, so I felt a larger base would support her better.
I was going to get some help from my partner, as he had more tools than I, so I sent her to him in the post before I travelled to him. Unfortunately, Sonico's hair chipped in two places, but a little glue solved that. Not noticeable from the front, so I wasn't worried.

Prepped the base by covering with some masking tape, and positioned Sonico using her old base as a guide. My partner then gradually drilled, checking Sonico's position as he went, until the desired look was achieved.

Sonico's chip on her top was left, as I felt it was not that much of an issue for me. So she was glued into her base with Evo-Stik Rapid. There was some that oozed a little from under her foot, but it's hardly noticeable. And here is the final result!

She looks much better now, and the mirror base compliments the design of the figure. Comparison~

Thank you! I thought her shy look was perfect for a mirror base.
The base looks so much better now. I honestly don't even know how they thought the original base was a good idea. It looks like the type of thing you would see on a prototype. And since it's so small it's no wonder you thought a bigger base would provide better support.
I'm tempted to add a mirror under ITEM #293234 now. I don't know that I would be able to make a base as you did because of the cross. But the base is clear so it may work out alright.
Because Pulchra is so hit and miss, I only preorder things from them that I really want.
I think you could make a mirror base for that figure. Either you have to replicate the shape of the peg for the cross in the mirror base, or cut the peg off it, then perhaps drilling into the base of the cross and putting a couple of metal rods in. I believe they would be sufficient for it.
I actually really love the cross design though. I almost bought that figure solely for the base. ^^'

Thank you! She came out looking better than I imagined. ^^
She's not cast-off, there is just a small gap between her top and the breasts.
