piratepapillonI`m pretty sure this may have been suggested in the past but will the doujin category ever be expanded? It could be interesting to have a whole section for Doujin in the same way we have 'Goods' and 'Media'. I know a lot of people were distressed when the Phantasm Screen plush (which are very popular) got pulled down so there's definetely a want for doujin goods to be included. The site has now expanded to include videogames but because of the rules concerning doujin material I'm not sure if the Touhou Project games could be added to the database despite the fact we have hundreds of figures from that series. I think a lot of people would be really happy if doujin works (with license of course) could be added.

Thanks.I'm not against the principle to have doujin games, doujin CDs and doujin goods in our database but I'll need more feedbacks on this one to make a decision. Also, if it's accepted it'd only be after we'd had discussed and clearly defined what could be added and what couldn't.

Concerning Doujin Goods in the DB, while I'm not against the idea, I don't think that our current team is ready to take on such a task as to manage a database that allows doujin goods. There are already many goods added here that are fake, I can especially see bootleg dakimakura becoming a problem. It is already quite the task to manage our current databases, and being as that many users won't be able to understand the difference between doujin and bootleg the problem would grow quickly. I think it would be a good idea to explore in the future, but I don't agree with adding such a section now.

I do however agree with allowing officially licensed products, such as the Touhou and Umineko games, to our db.

It would be really nice to have an overview of this stuff (these things are hardly ever listed on non-japanese sites, after all), but it's too hard to tell the difference between doujin and bootleg for some things. The only way I can think of to control this would be to force the user who adds an item to give a source for it - but that just doesn't work with the current way of adding things.

Narrowing it down to items from large stores is a good idea. That makes it so the item would be easy to find, and if something seems wrong the uploaded can just link the item. I think many people would be happy to see doujin goods added, especially those plushies.

Perhaps also the circle's official site could be used as source if they are well known enough to have one? Some doujin stuff that's a little older might no longer be available on sites like Melonbooks or Toranoana, but you can always see older work on the doujin groups personal websites.

^^ I know on MelonBooks you can browse sold out items too but maybe they still delete the older ones ?
Also when the items have a special page on MelonBooks there's always a link to the circle's page.

I agree with the store idea...allowing doujinshis opens a whole other can of worms but at least we'll have a source for confirming them lol.

Hmm, they are only one click away actually...

--> Club Room such as CLUB #51
--> Click the Forum tab on the top and you'll see all club related threads (link sample: club/51/discuss...).

Would it be possible to add filters on lists? For example "date added to collection" and "date added to list".
I use lists to manage unopened items and items not on display, so it'd be very helpful.
"Oh, it's been a while since I last displayed that figure..." "I has arrived and I forgot it had! Time to open it!"

Hmm, they are only one click away actually...

--> Click the Forum tab on the top and you'll see all club related threads (link sample: club/51/discuss...).
I think she means to have a Forums option as a "preview" on the club's front page? Similar to how you can see linked items, pictures, figure rankings, etc on the club's front page.

Yup, thank you, that's exactly what I meant. :)
That would be easier for eveyone to see on the club room new forums threads and answers.
Plus, most of people didn't seem to know there are actually forums on clubs.

EDIT : To improve particpation on clubs, it may also be a good idea to be able to link related clubs to each other. For example, linking Tony Taka FC to doujin FC or POP fanclub to One piece's.

Could we get two more field for JAN codes? Or switch to the comma/slash system. Many shirts come in 5 sizes, so it would be nice to be able to list all the codes. ^^

Can we have seach results sorted by name? It'd be nice to see all Haruhi figma together when looking at all figma, or all Vocaloid Nendorid together when looking at all Nendoroids.

Woah...I got denied friendship requests! Didn't even know I had that many racked up over the year..but is it possible to raise it above 300? xD
