SconesFor once, a loot. Welcome to a speed loot! I haven't done any articles or a loot in a while. I had a loot from early to mid 2022 written, but too late! I'll post some loots from late 2022 to early 2023 though.

Holo 1/7 China Dress - Kadokawa (ITEM #1605072)
The Holo Renaissance is far from over. The Nendoroid and three beautiful scales -Myethos wedding, Revolve version, and original Kadokawa figure- began the influx and offered many sides of Holo for us S&W fans to add to our collection. Kadokawa's new Holo is leagues above the last from 2018. However, that's not to say the other isn't stunning. It's the only Holo quite like it, because there is something about it, isn't there?

Back to the new Holo released over five years later, and the improved quality and craftsmanship has shocked me. I anticipated China dress Holo to come out well, and I love the other, one of my favorites in my collection, yet seeing them side-by-side shows stunning improvements! I am not in a Bounty commercial or anything, just talking about spicy wolves.
I'm very happy the China dress illustration was brought to 3D, I'd been waiting for it, and it came out astonishing. Immaculate details, sculpt and paint. Refined, cheerful Holo in a tight-fitting but elegant dress.
Along with this beautiful Holo, there's more S&W in this loot, volume 16 of the light novel, and the wall scroll (ITEM #1617309) (not pictured) that I shouldn't have gotten because I have nowhere to put it. I imagined it being much smaller.
Now for manga. Finally, I have 2CB completed. I remember when volume 2 was in a drought along with Punpun volume 6 (and then all the other Punpun volumes went, like cities in a zombie movie). They're back on the shelves in B&N now and I wish I could be collecting it forever. I miss buying the volumes. Anyways, back to 2CB. Look at how nice that is on a shelf. I love the clever screen tone-ish stylization of the panel spread across the spines. Walking by the shelf, it catches out of the corner of your eye much like the many mysteries of the series. Punpun had the same design, but I don't know any other Viz series that did this. Use it more Viz. Take a look at that delectable font too. Mm, mmm!
The next Urasawa manga I'll collect will probably be Monster. Hopefully Viz will localize Billy Bat eventually, and re-print the pricey volumes of Master Keaton.
Apart from the copies themselves, home-runs among English manga design, it's one of my favorite manga. It goes by quickly, though I took a while on the first two volumes. What a great manga.
Next, BLAME! volume 4. I need volume 3 still, but figured I'd buy this one with a B&N discount, since these are expensive. Emanon I've been wanting to get the physicals of for about a year and a half now, and I was surprised in the first place that there were any. I unexpectedly found the second volume in a Barnes and Noble on vacation, and ordered the first off Amazon. The final volume is publishing next August. I'm excited!
Visions' 2022 installment is very impressive, as was the last. I hesitated to get the first because I saw a review claiming it had translucent pages with ink bleed, but conveniently it was at B&N and I could verify for myself none of it. Got it and was anticipating the next since then. These art books have a lot of variety and beautiful covers, I'd recommend them both. Now I'm waiting for the English translation of 2023.
