Does anyone know if silicon effects figures badly? I want to make a custom faceplate & hair for
ITEM #236208
by taking a mould of the original and casting a resin piece to customise (I'd rather not alter the original figure).
Probably gonna do it anyway since he comes with 2 face plates and I own 2 of him, but thought I'd see if anyone has done anything like this before?

do you guya think making a bust figure out of airdry clay would be possible ? im not looking to make the most perfect figure ever but itd be nice if it dosent suck completely lol
It is possible with airdry clay. Make sure you are kneading it a lot before sculpting. It is for me years ago that I made something with airdry clay but it is sturdy.
If you decide to bake the clay after sculpting kneading it carefully is important.

Hi ti22ao, when you scroll to the top of the page you see a button join.
After joining I recommend making a topic within our club for your questions about sculpting. I actually don’t know anything about sculpting but I do know that there are people here that have more experience with sculpting.
AH! THANK YOU!!

Hi! I'm a beginner sculptor trying to make a cute action figure with polymer clay. How do I join? :D
I've always wanted to interact with the MFC community and I think talking with more experienced members will help me learn more about joints!

is there a walkthrough or material list around here for taking figures apart(boiling water?), repainting(best paint colors, glossy finish), filling up holes(putty or resin), fixing bended parts(hair dryer, hot water) also ways to get rid of transfer paint without damaging or having to repaint too much?

I am relatively new to figure collecting and figure customising as well so I would like some advice regarding the latter. Particularly I would like to recolour the red in
Reimu's
outfit and add some shading overall. My current plan is to use regular acyrlic paint for recolouring and then use some chalk pastels for shading as that is what I currently have available. I could probably use some masking tape that I have lying around during the process too.
Is there any specific advice with this method or is it one where you just straightly go at it? And would I need to seal any of the paints or chalk pastles? And is there any way to undo mistakes, at least besides sanding? Also I have seen some other users splitting their figures apart into sections which I am sure would be beneficial for this little project although I am unsure of how it works... Guidance would be appreciated.
