PhamWam1 month ago#124550761Did you have to ask again to ship it out once you paid the shipping invoice? Currently on day 5 after I paid my shipping invoice (initial order was a pay now and pay shipping later). I found it weird how they gave you a separate link to pay for the invoice.
Give them 1-2 weeks. If you don't get the tracking number in that time, write them a question about it under the shipping invoice you paid.

Opsam29 days ago#124550899No. After I paid the shipping, they shipped it out in the next 1-2 days for me. Judging by the tracking number they gave, it seems to currently be on the boat en route to me. I'm not really sure how they handle ship out dates; as I said, this was my first order with them. They may have some kind of set interval they ship out orders. Or it may just be random depending on what they currently have in the queue. From what I've read on here, they seem somewhat notorious for being difficult to get hold of, but it couldn't hurt to try pinging them about the status. With how many parts of the ordering process seem to be done manually, there's a ton of opportunities for something to go wrong/get stuck on their end.
Yeah, it is definitely odd how they handle shipping invoices for orders where you paid at order then pay shipping later.

Just got an update from them:

"We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you that due to recent events, we are currently experiencing a shortage in staffing. As a result, there may be a slight delay in the processing and shipping of your orders.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Rest assured that we are doing our best to fulfill your orders as soon as possible and keep you updated on the status of your order."

No big deal as I don't mind waiting but hopefully it's not too long.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm trying to pay a pay-later order via debit card because stupid PP doesn't recognizes it (since last week, can use it normally everywhere else, just not PP), but I can't find an option to pay?

Only the "powered by stripe" that I can't click.

I wanted to give them a shot at being my new "main shop" since they have good prices but their site seems weird to me and makes me feel nervous.
I wanted to buy a figure that was only made available today with the "Pay Later" option but it wasn't working for whatever reason. I messaged them to ask why and they told me that the stocked reached 0. The figure is still available for sale and I don't think it's going to be sold out anytime soon so what are they talking about ? Do they have a stock of "Pay Later" ? That sounds really weird but since it's a French store I wouldn't be surprised by something that stupid.

The other thing that is even more weird is that even though they "accept" Paypal I can't use that option for payment. I tried a bunch of different figures and sometimes this option is here for certain figures and not for others. It doesn't even matter if the figure is in stock, has the "Pay Later" option or "Immediate payment required", the result are different every time as if they picked randomly which item is eligible for a payment via Paypal.

I don't know what's going on but it makes absolutely no sense and makes me more suspicious about them than anything. The fact that it's a French run store just like Nin-Nin-Game (who are terrible and my worst experience ever from collecting) does not help.

I made a purchase from them a few days ago for ITEM #1824838 and I had to pay immediately by card. I did it since I didn't have much other options and the price was good on top of that but now I'm quite scared about how this is going to go. I saw they had good reviews overall so I was confident but now, not so much and I won't have Paypal to save me either in case it goes wrong so I don't know if I should just charge back with my bank...

The issue with PayPal not showing as a payment option could be related to the browser you are using. In my case, using both Chrome and Firefox and switching between them seems to resolve the problem. There might be a compatibility issue between PayPal and certain browsers, causing the payment option to not appear consistently.

Try using an alternative browser, it might solve the problem. And it's certainly not uncommon for websites or payment gateways to have compatibility issues with specific browsers due to differences in technology, security settings, or extensions/add-ons. In my situation, having multiple browsers installed provides a workaround and allows me to navigate the issue by using the browser that supports PayPal functionality.

Thanks for trying to help but unfortunately I thought it might be the case so I tried with Chrome, Firefox (both PC and mobile) and Edge and also while my extensions were disabled and I am still not able to order what I want from them with PayPal.
I think it is more a case of them not allowing it on certain figures than anything... I never encountered an issue like this either in 15+ years of shopping online so the problem is definitely on their end.

Are the figures without paypal 18+? Manda doesn't allow paypal for adult items, so this could be the same thing.

I so far had no issues with having paypal as option, but my collection is SFW.

Had a private warehouse shipment that got stuck too.
Asking them on the shipping costs order, they answered the invoice got stuck somehow.
Shipped by now and should arrive soon.

I can pay fine with Paypal (even on some more risque figs), but it does have issues working sometimes.
What you have to do is select the Paypal payment option, then check the checkmark under it and then press the Paypal button that was grayed out before.

As far as Pay Later goes, it seems they have a batch set aside for that.
Some figs ditch the Pay Later after a day, others linger for months.
Just wish they removed the tag, because that still lingers - so the only pay later left would be shipping costs if you picked warehouse.

I think this might be it now that you mention it ! Now I only have to pray that the order will go smoothly since I had to pay by card >.<

I think it is what the user above mentionned since the PayPal option doesn't even appear, not even "grayed out".

I find it surprising to only have a certain batch allowed for Pay Later though... I tried to buy the item only a few hours after it was available on their website so they must only allow a pretty low amount of "Pay Later" :/

I see now. Tried it on those Kaori figs and doesn't show.
Definitely a R-18 issue then, as paypal doesn't like to be used for such purchases.

I'm still sussing them out myself. I wouldn't mind making them one of my main stores, since their prices are pretty nice. My order that already had shipping paid etc, went pretty well. Not super fast, but considering how long even AmiAmi takes now days, was alright. Shipped out after a bit under 2 weeks. Now I'm just waiting to see how my other orders go, where I've used the Private Warehouse. It seems like that's where people have been having issues....

I ordered from them for the first time last fall. I pre-ordered all 4 of the Sailor Scout dolls that were just released last month and had them shipped to Canada. I paid in advance and I ordered 2 each in separate orders and used the warehouse option just so I could see what shipping would be like given the options to Canada were very limited when I first ordered. I was pretty excited when Airmail returned and I was going to use that. When the dolls were released, I requested combined and separate shipping options. They were quick to reply with checkout options for both scenarios. Annoyingly, they were not offering Airmail so I had to go with EMS as I didn’t want to wait for cargo shipping by sea.

They didn’t ship my order immediately and after 2 weeks I contacted them through the order messaging system to ask what was going on. A couple of days later I was informed that somehow there was a glitch and my order hadn’t processed, but they would manually process it now. My order shipped a couple of days later and arrived after about a week. They had marked it as a gift and at 4000 Yen value so no customs, but the shipping box was a pretty precise fit for all 4 dolls and the box got banged up in shipping. The Sailor Venus doll box has a dent in one side, but the dolls were bubble wrapped and there was some packing paper so it wasn’t too bad. Just wish they had used a slightly bigger box and added more padding. Not a bad experience with them, but I was annoyed they weren’t offering more shipping options that should be available. If your order is stuck, be sure to check with them using the order messaging system. It might help.

Perhaps someone can answer this weird question:

I just pre-ordered a figure at Hobby-Genki, but I wonder if I made a technical mistake. The pre-order's been open for a few months now and I decided to pre-oder it now. It said something like "last items" under the button to put into my cart. At first I only put it into my cart and didn't purchase yet. A few hours later I visited the item page again and saw that it was sold out, BUT: weirdly the figure was still in the cart. So I completed the purchase quickly.

Could it be that the figure was the last one and me putting it in the cart somehow reserved it so that it would look like the figure's sold out on the item page? Or did someone else buy the last one in the meantime and me having the figure still in the cart may have been a bug? In other words: should I ask the customer support if everything is all right with the pre-purchase?

yes in this case you should ask them about it. there were some bug on their site that somebody can bought a non existing item from their site and it couldnt be shipped, but the purschase was still completed and money's gone =]]

I just followed up on an order I placed two weeks ago, and they also informed me that my "invoice was stuck in the process". Just a heads up in case anyone has been waiting for something to ship.

Seems to be the norm with Private Warehouse orders, unfortunately.
