Amico fumofumo is number one in the rankings, amiami shoppers are certainly the brand loyalty kings lol. But I suppose the mini art prints are a big part of that.

Haha gotta admit she looks really cute though. Wonder if they're gonna make Lilco in the future too.

I was wondering if there is a way to check how much stock is remaining of a figure on AmiAmi? I remember sometime back that some members would say x amount remains etc. But. My memory could also be wrong. Still, thought I’d ask if anyone knows :)

I can't say about now, but what you're remembering is that at some point AmiAmi's API would return back the stock information for an item. I'm not sure that's the case anymore, especially after the bot abuse.

Has anyone had AmiAmi quote them one price via the chat and then had shipping be pretty much double what they quoted? I even asked them twice about it as I noticed when I went to order there was no small air option but they definitely quoted me small air and now I have been invoiced and there is no small air and even surface is double the price they quoted me for small air :(

Magicalgirljuni1 month ago#124065615Has anyone shipped small air packet recently? Their website update is confusing as it says that small air packet is currently 1-2 months from payment to delivery, but it also states that everything is been shipped out within a week with surface premium being the exception and they have fixed the shipping issues now. It definitely doesn't take 7 weeks postage time for small air packet, usually its 2-3 weeks so I am confused if they have actually fixed the shipping issue as the shipping times stated are the same when it was taking 4-6 weeks to ship small air so it seems like it's actually not fixed :')
Edit I messaged them to confirm and shipping time for small air is one week again, yay

Did they end up shipping it in a week? I got invoiced on the 9th for a pre-owned figure with Air SP and it still hasn't shipped 11 days later. It's getting ridiculous, I've had stuff ship and arrive from other stores within that time.

EDIT: Got a shipping notification finally haha.

They did but I paid for an order on the 12th June that still hasn't shipped :( I ordered from Mandarake a few days ago and literally the next morning it was posted.

I was recently praising them on Reddit on how they shipped my mid-May order within 3 days. Now I'm waiting for them to ship my order paid on the 13th, so it seems that their shipping times are just really inconsistent right now.

I have a couple orders in the coming months that total over 200,000 Yen on their own. Assuming I don't split said orders, does anyone have any experience on what AmiAmi does for customs? Or do they force an order split? I'm based in the US.

I have been around the 150K without an issue
But first of all, does everything actually fit in their 180/200 boxes?
If not then it will most likely get split.

The 200K+ value is special since that's when additional US customs kick in from my understanding. It's true this may be a non-issue if the items don't even fit in a box, but with the increased individual prices of figures it may happen.

Well, if by any chance they are not needed to be split then a customs form will be needed, (pretty sure they do it from their side, but I might be wrong) so you should be good, and once it arrives you might get asked to pay customs.

Still, you can ask to split to avoid this
In January I had two monthly orders (November and December) piled up and they sum up a bit over 200K
Already received them in April and I did not get asked to pay customs.

That's the part that's confusing to me. AmiAmi has always included a form that declares the contents of the package for customs. However, there's apparently something further needed when the contents of a single package exceed 200,000 Yen (and apparently you can send as many 199,999 Yen packages at the same time with "no issue" - I'm sure there'd be an issue at the nth such package).

This has all been for EMS so far. For something like DHL they put the value at 2500 USD on a single shipment. At that point it mentions the need for a broker (effectively an additional fee).

Given the number of release delays and my ability to split the orders I guess I can just avoid the situation altogether and just not find out.

Mandarake posted information about the 200 000 yen threshold a few years ago: "Please note that as of April 1 2017, all orders over the value of 200,000 yen will be subject to a customs export declaration. Permission must be obtained from customs to send mail with a combined value of over 200,000 yen overseas. This export declaration has a handling fee of 2,800 yen and may increase the shipping time.

An English guide to the new procedure can be found on the Japan Post Website (www.post.japanp...), as well as a guide to the fees in Japanese (www.post.japanp...).

This does not apply to orders sent by DHL."

So it sounds like the shop will help with the process, for a fee of course. I'll keep this question effectively open if anyone reading this thread has personally gone through the process.

However, I think I'll just split such orders. Besides the fees, it just sounds like a hassle.

Ended up purchasing a "new item with box damage" figure. When it arrived, I could not see any damage. After looking closely it looks like the discount was offered because there are some very tiny black marks on the bottom edge of the box.
